About AluminumPride
AluminumPride is a group of fun loving Airstreamers.
We are creating a rally group that is inclusive of all people. We are looking for friends with great attitudes & adventure. We are out to have a good time with friends in style. Our group has a large LGBTQ presence among the diverse group of members.
We are a friendly and engaging group, with a desire to have interesting, active rallys. Our rallys are gourmet potluck with no host obligations.
What we are NOT... We don't do berets, ties, jackets, prayers, invocations, Sunday devotionals or services, 4 pm happy hours or 5 pm dinners.
ABOUT OUR EVENT
Rally #1
The first AluminumPride rally WAS held on October 12-15, Thursday through Sunday at Lake Georgetown Jim Hogg Park.

What a "brilliant" (as Kevin would say) camping event! 18 friends met for a weekend of fun. Tents were not "taboo" and Airstreams were not mandatory.
​

Rally # 2 WAS held Dec 7-10 2017
YEGUA CREEK, TX
​
Yegua Creek is located at Somerville Lake near Somerville Texas. The lake offers various types of recreation such as camping, fishing, boating, swimming, nature trails and much more.

March 1-4, 2018 Blanco State Park

Thursday: The second rally began with...
a snowy welcome!
SEVERAL new trailers (and their owners)
joined Aluminum Pride. New Friends!

Friday evening:
Chanukah food: Melissa and Kevin made chicken soup with matzoh balls for dinner. Everyone LOVED that! There was also chopped liver (think pate). Not everyone loved that!
Saturday:
Another Chanukah tradition:
Cynthia & Steve made latkes
(potato pancakes) for breakfast.

Over the weekend:
Campers enjoyed the sunshine, Blue Bell Factory,
Round Top, College Station, President
George H.W. Bush Library & wine tasting.

Rick & Glen made homemade hot chocolate around the fire!

World famous campers, Emma & Blaine (and "Bullet-hole", their
beloved Airstream) HOSTED the BEST rally yet!
​
Thursday: Many arrived and enjoyed happy hour and a campfire
with Coke & James. Their site was perfect for our home base.
​
Friday: Barn Yard animal waffles, sausage and home made blueberry
compote. Then off to sample beer at Real Ale Beer. The group
dined on Old 300 BBQ while enjoying the campfire.
SATURDAY: Nine pin bowling @ The Blanco Bowling Club and Cafe
It's one of only eleven clubs in the state that is still in operation.
Following bowling the group headed to Andalusia Whiskey
Rain prevented the usual campfire evening so Emma & Blaine
invited the group to their Barndominium in Blanco County. A fun last evening with the group and BOWLING TROPHIES were awarded to
Team 3!!!

April 26-29, 2018
LCRA South Shore park
​
Kathy took on the task of planning our 4th rally on the last weekend of April 26-29.
It was held at the LCRA Lake Bastrop South Shore Park.

We had 11 rigs and over 23 people attend.
​
Kathy and Mike kept us busy the entire weekend from eating fantastic food, kayaking the Colorado river to participating in a moving poker game.
​
We continue to meet new people and add additional rallies and pop-up rallies to this fun group.
​
